Magazine Supplement
Editorial
Project Brief
A project involving the full development of a lifestyle and interiors magazine supplement, from initial concept to final design. Inspired by editorial titles like Enki, I created the magazine’s theme, conducted trend research, and curated written and visual content. I planned and styled original photoshoots, interviewed an industry professional, and incorporated this into the magazine. Every element from editorial structure to typography was designed to feel cohesive, engaging, and commercially relevant. The project deepened my skills in editorial design, visual storytelling, and managing a complete creative process independently.

Supplement Spreads
I independently conceptualized the layout, ensuring a clean, modern typography paired with strong imagery and well-curated product photography. Each spread was designed with attention to the flow of content, keeping the reader engaged while maintaining visual consistency. I ensured that all images were embedded at 300 DPI to prepare the file for printing, ensuring that the design would look crisp and professional in the final product. This project enhanced my skills in editorial design, photography, and layout, while also giving me hands-on experience with print production, including image resolution and file preparation for a high-quality printed outcome.
Intended Audience
Design-conscious readers interested in sustainable living, modern interiors, and thoughtful design.

Behind The Scenes
As part of our feature, we visited ceramicist Jodie Crook-Giles in her studio for a live Q&A. Watching her handcraft a mug while we asked questions gave us a real insight into her process, values, and sustainable approach to making. The conversation focused on material choices, slow production, and the connection between craft and conscious living. We were also able to take a selection of her pieces back to photograph and incorporate them into our editorial layouts - adding a personal, tactile layer to the final outcome.
